About the university
Tampere University started in 2019 when the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology merged, so engineering, health and social sciences now sit under one roof. The Hervanta campus is the tech hub; the city centre campus handles much of the rest. Tampere itself is an old industrial city that has turned creative, with a lively student scene.
