About the university
Aalto sits on the Otaniemi campus in Espoo, a short metro ride from central Helsinki. It was created in 2010 by merging a technical university, a business school and an art and design school, and you can still feel that mix: engineering labs, start-up societies and design studios share the same corridors. Expect project-heavy courses and plenty of group work.
